The emperor of the inner kingdom,
from another elsewhere,
only reigned for a few hours,
only the time to enlighten his subjects
by solemnly declaring
that every one of them held the key
to his or her own kingdom,
that of the heart
that opens doors wide to infinite places
and that changes this world’s powerful ones
into mere children.
